According to the guidelines of Central pollution control board, chemical waste should be stored in followings manner

Recycling streams are usually dedicated to a specific type of plastic (see the recycling number system) such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or polyethylene terephthalate. You can't mix the materials because a recycled polypropylene/polyethylene blend would potentially not have sufficient mechanical properties to be reused in another application. Why are they different materials? Because when you rub two similar materials together, they are more likely to bind, gall, or otherwise have their motion inhibited. You can imagine where this would be a pain when trying to untwist a bottle cap. Why doesn't the recycling center take the caps and recycle them in a separate stream? Probably because it requires different equipment (some plastics have higher melting points) or there is less of a market for the recycled version
